Jagriti has a rich legacy of over 20 years in skilling women and youth, supported by the Ministry of HRD. We have empowered 65,000 beneficiaries through training in trades like carpentry, plumbing, handicrafts, communication skills, and computer training. These initiatives have transformed countless lives, providing sustainable livelihoods and fostering self-reliance.
In collaboration with Tata Trusts and Google, the Internet Saathi program provided basic digital literacy to 1.7 million rural women across 10,000 villages. Through the efforts of 2,400 women leaders, participants learned to use smartphones and various apps to support income generation, building a foundation for other community initiatives.
Aarogya Saathi sensitized 80,000 locals on Covid-19 awareness through a digital platform, supported by 1,200 Aarogya Saathis. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Jagriti provided 15-day ration and hygiene kits to 5,500 returning migrant laborers and supported local district administrations with medical aid, including an oxygen plant and essential medical supplies.
In partnership with BMGF, the Covid Support Program connected 3,200 people with various government schemes, including labor cards, Jandhan accounts, MGNREGA work, and pension schemes. This initiative provided crucial support to the most vulnerable during the pandemic, ensuring access to essential resources.
The Jagriti Alliance for Growth Upliftment and Revival (JAGUAR) Helpline provided immediate mentorship and relief to MSMEs during the Covid-19 economic crisis. The initiative reached 350 MSMEs, offering mentoring to 37 enterprises, and facilitated ration distribution and connections to government schemes to help businesses stay afloat.
